Lucy the Mixed Breed
Approximately 5 years old, Lucy arrived to DAWG emaciated, and with fur so badly matted that she required sedation to have it removed. Lucy had been severely neglected for a long period of time which was evidenced not only through her physical condition but also by the fear she displayed at any sound or movement. Lucy’s progression since her arrival has been amazing and she is slowly learning that life does not have to be feared. Her sheer joy at breakfast and dinner time is infectious and her soft brown eyes would lighten the heaviest of hearts.
Lucy is a very special dog who will need a patient adult only home where she can continue to progress and learn that the world can be a safe and loving place.
