Lucky the Lurcher

We have been asked to help home Lucky. (Lucky is based in Navan with his rescuer and she is willing to travel to meet the right home) He was rescued from the streets of Morocco while Gemma was on holidays and she organised his stay for 10 months in kennels there before he was brought back to Ireland. A home that was supposedly waiting for him fell through. Well done to Gemma for all she has done for Lucky so far. Here are his details – Lucky, male, 15 month old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, healthy blood test, no health concerns, currently 16kg. He is medium in size.

Playful with toys or other dogs, he would prefer another dog for company. Ok with familiar cats indoors, may bark at foreign cats outdoors. Shy with strangers sometimes at first but overall ok with new people. Ok on walks with passersby/cars. Leash trained, toilet trained. Ok to be left alone for approx 4 hours. Temperament with people he is familiar with: affectionate, playful, cuddly, comfortable to be picked up e.g to be placed on the veterinary examination table, comes when called.

Temperament with strangers: shy at first- comes over to sniff you at his own time, accepts treats, especially meat from the hand. Not aggressive. Lucky would love to find his forever home.
