Howard the Malinois

Poor little Howard had a horrible start. Starved and neglected for his first few months, he came to us a few weeks ago with skin issues, worm infestations, muscle loss and 5kgs underweight. Thankfully he is now well on the way to getting better and is starting to come to life. Howard is a small Belgian Malinois boy roughly aged 1 year. He is not typical of the breed in that he is shy boy. He is nervous with new people but becomes more confident as he gets to know them. Typical of the breed though, he is extremely clever and very eager to learn. He will already sit and wait, go to bed, and play fetch and return. He is by nature a very busy boy who yearns for attention and to be kept active. Howard is a work in progress. He is very attached to his fosterer and is looking for someone who is willing to put plenty of time into training him and keeping him mentally and physically active. The Belgian Malinois is known for its protective, confident and responsive nature. They are also good with kids and if properly trained are great pets. Howard needs a confident and experienced owner who is willing to keep him in check and properly guide him. Howard loves to play so another dog in the home is preferable. An enclosed garden and children over 10.
