Ellie the German Shepherd x
Ellie is a stunning 1 years old GSD X looking for a new home through no fault of her own. Although nervous of new situations, once she’s given the chance to settle, Ellie is the most sweetest most affectionate dog you’ll ever meet. She’s so wants to please and impress you. She’s house and crate trained and has the good commands and is a pleasure about the house and will do as she’s told. On walks Ellie may pull at the beginning but I’ve found she’s less likely to pull once she’s going on an extendable lead, and she’s used to the area. Her recall is pretty good, but isn’t always happy to be put back on the lead but found a firm command does the trick. However Ellie is unsure around small dogs when out walking on the lead, but equally has played with them on the beach. In general she’s great with other dogs, and loves to play with them once she’s realised that they’re friendly which takes about 2 minutes. As for cats, she’s been excellent with the 2 cats in her foster house and ignores them, but gradual introduction worked best. Ellie loves the car to the point that she’s helped the foster homes dog get used to going in the car. She’s so good natured, that she puts up with the same dog annoying her into playing and generally bossing her about! An active home would be ideal for Ellie, or she will need a good of good long walks or off the lead run 2-3 times a week. Ellie will make an excellent family pet but kids over 7 just due to her size . Indoor dog only and enclosed garden is a must.She will make an amazing pet, and will reward you with so much love and appreciation.
