Sophie the Bull Mastiff

Sophie is a 6 year old Bull Mastiff.She is the most gentle and beautiful of dogs. Her lovely eyes follow you everywhere and all she wants is to curl up in her bed near you and potter around the garden. Sophie was handed in to the sanctuary with a problem of incontinence. After further tests and examination it was established that Sophie also had a very bad urinary tract infection which needed attention. We now know that her incontinence is a hormone problem usually exacerbated by stress. She will need long term medication for this problem but generally she is doing very well now in her long term foster home with Trish and her family in Dungourney Co Cork. She is adored by everyone and so far the periods of incontinence have become less and less.

UPDATE – Sophies family were very sad to have to say goodbye to the beautiful Sophie before xmas. She passed away peacefully. Many thanks to those who have sponsored our gorgeous girl and helped her life a happy life with Trish and family.
