Sally the Collie

Sally has been in our care for months and months now. She came to us from the pound and whatever her past was it must have been absolutely terrifying. Sally was afraid literally of her own shadow. She is in an amazing and experienced foster home with other dogs and progress is one step forward and two steps back. Sally is crate trained and 99 percent house trained. She needs a rural calm home and most definitely with another dog. She follows Medusa the dog all over the place. Walks can be hectic as if something frightens her she will try and run and hide. She must be kept on a lead.  A home where she can just be. A crate covered in blankets to retreat to if she is scared. A super secure garden that she can potter in and of course another dog. An ideal home will be experienced with nervous dogs and understand that Sally makes progress in her own time. A confident even tempered dog will be her best friend. Its devastating to think of how she came to be so scared but we are hoping that one day she will relax and stop worrying.

Update: There have been massive strides with Sally over Christmas. She is seeking cuddles now with Emma and will jump up on the couch and lie with her.
‘She loves soft balls now will run round with this all day in her mouth and a purple one , and shes not bolting when new people come into the house , shes getting very nosy 🤪, and 98% of the time holding eye contact without bolting away, shes about 89 % acting like a normal dog in the house’

Isnt that fantastic. We cant thank Emma and family enough for giving Sally the time to learn to act like a dog in a family environment. She has spent most of her life shaking with fear.
She is trusting now and loving the other dogs and people in the home.

Sally needs a home with another dog and she definitely needs a few visits to learn to get to know a new person. We would love her to find that special forever family. No young children as she is nervous and we have no history with smallies. There is absolutely zero aggression in Sally. 

Sally is much happier on her walks now and is doing amazing.
