Ricco the Samoyed

Ricco is a four year old Samoyed who we have the pleasure of fostering at the moment. He is an absolutely perfect house guest. Ricco is so quiet and gentle, you would hardly know he is around, we have yet to hear him bark or make any noise at all. He was recently neutered so he is fashioning the lovely ‘cone of shame’ and it isn’t bothering him at all. He sleeps in the kitchen with our two dogs and there isn’t a peep from him all night. Ricco is just a cuddly bear in need of a forever home who are willing to show him the love and affection he yearns. He does require regular brushing and is due to be groomed once his stitches are taken out in a week or so. Our young kids love him, they just cuddle up to him every chance they get. As for our dogs, it’s as if he’s been here all along! He shows no aggression to strangers nor strange dogs when out walking. I read that Samoyeds don’t like cats but the two we passed on the road didn’t bother him. I did learn the ‘fun’ way, that a harness is best when he is being walked, his hair is so thick that the collar doesn’t sit right on him and he can reverse out of it! Anyone who meets him is in awe at his coat and his temperament, he is just a wonderful dog. There has to be someone out there able to offer this handsome fellow his forever home.
