Luna the Husky Mix

Meet Luna. We were told she is a husky staffie mix. Luna was very undersocialised and wasnt ready to start looking but ready to dip her toe in now to see if there is someone out there willing to adopt her and put the work in and help her become the loyal loving companion she can be. She is a husky mix and looks like a teddy bear here. She is loving the acres of space she has to run around in currently and is good around other dogs. She is still a work in progress and would love an experienced home to help her on her way. Luna spent close to 2 years in a yard only with her siblings and no interactions with the outside world. This really affects dogs, not having contact with people or other dogs in their formative years. Luna would love a home in the country, an enclosed garden a must. Children over 8 for Luna as she has no history with smallies. No cats for Luna.

She is medium in size, the photo makes her look bigger than what she actually is. She is wary at the beginning of new people but is great once she trusts.

Luna’s update from Five Star Canine Fitness and Training:

Luna.
We don’t post enough about our non sport training even though we do a fair amount of it but here we are with another Luna update.
When Luna arrived she had never had a life of a normal dog in a human world so it has taken a long time to relearn what that means. She had never been walked, didnt know how to be on a lead, be handled or to co operate with a human. She has worked so hard in this time and now……. well today we get to open up a new world to her and that is the ultimate thing, in my opinion, and that is to be off lead with a really great recall! In the video she is with a dog she briefly met on leaded yesterday and today she went for a stroll with him.
Luna is looking for a forever home, someone active that likes adventures. She is still learning lots of things and she is always super keen for the interaction. She has been a great dog with other dogs and shows good skills around them. She is great to bath, brush and dry and has been brilliant at vet visits. She has been meeting strangers in a positive way and has never been phased around children playing.

Luna has gone to her forever home!
