Joe the Lurcher

Joe is a lovely gentle boy who wouldn’t say boo to a goose. He must have had a very scary start to life because he is very timid at first. But once he gets to know you he is so loyal and stays nearby despite his fears and nor does his anxiety result in defensive behaviour like growling or snapping. He really is a gentle soul. He just needs time and patience to get to know you. He is a real cuddle bug with the other dogs in foster so he’d love a home with another dog. He is very quiet and calm in the house, never barks, and just enjoys snuggling with the dogs on the sofa or in his own bed and is not a bother at all. His foster mum is full of praise for him. Preferably a rural or quiet spot where he won’t be spooked by too many people, although he might get used to a busier environment with time and patience. If you can offer Joe the calm, steady life he deserves, you’ll be rewarded with a deeply loyal presence and the joy of watching a timid dog slowly blossom. He is house and crate trained. No cats or small furries.
