Dougal the German Shepherd x

Dougal is a German Shepherd Cross and is approximately 10 months old, he is very affectionate and loyal.

He is very gentle with children, his initial welcoming can be over excited but he quickly calms once he has said hello.

He loves to play ball and fetch.

His main area that needs concentrating on is his socialisation.

He is good on the lead just his initial reaction to new experiences and in particular at the moment other dogs needs work.

His barking is something I feel is down to him being anxious at new experiences and not knowing how to react to other dogs sometimes. It may come across as aggressive to others to but he will listen and respond to commands even in this heightened state of excitement.  It is something he will improve on with the regular and consistent training,  with someone who is able to offer the support and time.

When he has been with us to visit friends who have dogs he has been fine. It is is an area that he will definitely improve on.
