Charlie the Collie

Charlie is an extremely loving and affectionate dog.

When I got him he was scared and nervous, didn’t have a name and was very wary. He’s now answering to Charlie, he sits, stays and gives the paw. He knows his bed and goes to it when relaxing in the house and stays all night on it too.

He hated the car at the start, I had to lift him in and he fought to get out, he now jumps straight in when I open the boot as he knows we are going for a walk or going visiting.

I walk him twice a day around 5-10k, he needs his exercise and can not be left out without the lead as he runs off straight away. So more work is needed on recall and trust but that comes with time.  I got him a harness and hes got used to it and is slowly learning to walk properly with me. He still charges ahead a little but is getting much better.

He is great with other dogs and children, loves all people and loves getting rubbed and cuddles. Everyone who meets him falls totally in love with him. He loves all balls, in the house or outside, he would chase them around for hours! He is almost fully housetrained and only has little accidents if over excited or nervous.

Overall Charlie is fantastic, I think he will be amazing with a family who have a big enclosed area and who have the time to walk him daily, a family who will give him lots of love and affection.
