Benson the King Charles Spaniel

Another very special boy in our care, almost ready now to start looking. Huge thanks to Margaret and family for the tremendous effort, time and patience in helping bringing this boy out of his shell. –

Benson is a 4 year old King Charles Cavalier. He came to us having had been moved around a bit due to family circumstances and as he is a very gentle soul he retreated into himself and became quite fearful. It has taken him nearly 2 months to settle into foster but he has totally blossomed into a happy go lucky chap who adores cuddling up next to you on the sofa. It was very slow progress and he was quite growly and uncooperative to begin with but it was just confusion and fear. He takes a long time to trust but once he does he transformed into the loveliest of dogs and will be a loyal and loving companion. Anyone looking to adopt Benson will have to be prepared to be very patient and allow him time to come round which could take a while. He is VERY worth the investment. He loves his foster brothers and sisters so a calm dog in the home would be lovely for him. No small kids for Benson because of his anxiety. Toilet trained but the odd accident happens when he’s stressed.
