WHEN: Sunday, 20 September at 11 am.
WHERE: Ballincollig Regional Park
WHAT: Starting out at the Main Entrance at the west end of the Park we’ll walk 5k through the park and finish up at (location). We’ll have face painting, raffles, food stalls, animal balloons, dog training clinics and maybe even free micro-chipping at the finish line!
HOW MUCH: Suggested donation is €10 or €20 for families. All funds go to DAWG as we struggle to deal with increasing numbers of abandoned and abused dogs.
WHO: Everyone and their dogs are welcome! All dogs must be on a lead. Please bring bags! If your dog is a restricted breed, please comply with the law. If your dog is nervous or should not be petted, please signal this with a yellow ribbon attached to the lead. Thank you!
Directions & Parking: To get to the Regional Park (western end) from Ballincollig, go to the junction adjacent to Supervalu at the west end of Ballincollig town and take the Inniscarra Road. Follow this road for about 1km; just before the Inniscarra Bridge, on your right, you will see the entrance for the park. There is limited parking available in the Park and we are working on adding additional parking.
I wish I could be with you but I live in Tipperary and having no car can’t get there. My thoughts are with you and it hurts me dreadful to see animals treated badly. I don’t understand how any so called humans can act like this. Good luck on Sunday and good weather. Margaret
A fabulous idea to raise funds and awareness at the same time
