Update: Our beautiful Polly passed away recently from her heart condition. She lived 6 months beyond what vets predicted. Thank you all who sponsored her. She led a very happy life in her short space of time.
Polly is a new member of our Sponsor a Dog Programme. She is not even 6 months old and it is with sadness that we cannot let her go to her forever home.
Polly was rescued from atrocious conditions, out in all elements, no shelter, very little food and covered in mange. We can honestly say Polly would be dead by now if neighbours hadn’t intervened and contacted us. They were appalled by the treatment of Polly, her siblings and other dogs on the property.
Polly had kennel cough which developed into pneumonia. She was definitely the weakest of the bunch and it was discovered shortly afterwards that she had heart disease.
Polly could have months or a year or so to live. Miracle of miracles she could live for years and go against the odds. Polly needs regular vet visits and is on heart medication. She lives with Carole her foster Mum, 2 foster collie sisters and 4 cats where she is absolutely idolised and adored. She can be a right little diva and lives for her food! She sleeps in the bed at night with Carole and probably assumes she is almost human at this stage. She is a very affectionate girl who loves nothing more than cuddling up on the couch with you under a throw and snoozing while keeping one eye on the TV.
