Meg the border collie
We were delighted to receive photos of Meg from her new home with the O’Callaghans.
Meg’s case was a sad one. She spent 9 months of her life tied up. When she came to the shelter she was one very sad and scared girl. Carole one of our shelter staff just could not leave her behind one evening as she was going home so took her home to foster her and for that we are very grateful.
Meg came on so well at Carole’s and came out of her shell. She stayed at Carole’s for months, until we got the call from the O’Callaghans that they wanted to meet her.
The rest is history:
Hi all, I just wanted to give you an up date on Meg the border collie adopted from Carole 3 months ago now . I have some pictures of meg attached here for you too, she just about stood still long enough to get them taken 🙂
We can see a change in her every week and shes doing so well!
She goes mad for any type of squeaky toy and once she learned how to play, she hasnt stopped since. No matter how tired she is shes always ready to play!
She loves nothing more than stretching out for a belly rub and already had her favorite spot on the couch after 2 days. She just loves going for her walks especially at the beach where she has a good roll around in the sand, though shes not the biggest fan of getting her paws wet .
Shes such a sweet girl and we are delighted at how well shes getting on . We are going to bring her for training soon, as she is smart out and we really think she will benefit hugely with some training.
We just want to say thanks to everyone in DAWG and in particular Carole who fostered Meg and looked after her so well 🙂 and we will keep you guys updated on shes doing in the future.
