Autumn the Lurcher

We have a special adoption appeal for this stunning young lurcher. Autumn has been in our care for many weeks now and is still so scared of people. She was found cowering in a shed, covered in cow dung and scars and it became clear that she had been eating cow dung to stay alive. She is only a year old and was already terrified of everything. We have been able to mend her body but the scars of her past remain. However, she is a brave girl. Autumn adores her walks, adores playing with the other lurchers in her foster home and loves her food. She is learning to relax in her foster home and will climb on the couch. She is best with predictability and stability. We are looking for a special home for this girl. Lurcher lovers, with another lurcher who will help her gain confidence. A family with patience, time and oodles of love. We can guarantee that in time, this beauty will morph into the lurcher of your dreams. She is a leggy, fast girl, regal and dignified who gives sneaky licks when nobody is looking. Gentle, dog friendly kids are perfect for Autumn and someone at home some of the day to allow her time to adjust. Please only apply if you understand her fear and are willing to help her overcome it. An enclosed secure garden a must.
